Just picture waves from the ocean calmly crashing on the shore. Theres a calm but cool breeze. Its a cloudy day, but the sun is starting to peak from behind the clouds. Sounds pretty dreamy right? I think so! So if you are planning a destination wedding in Alaska you need to check out these pictures for yourself.
Details from this seaside wedding shoot in Seldovia, Alaska
The bride for this shoot wore a modern v neck styled wedding gown. It had a long silk train that drug along the beach while walking. Our groom wore a velvet dress jacket with a pair of slacks. These two walked along the beach barefoot while taking in the ocean views.
Halfway through their seaside wedding photoshoot in Seldovia we moved the couple to another location along the beach. It was a cavelike rock that protected the bride and groom from the wind. It was the perfect place to take a break from the cool breeze rolling off the ocean. The inside of the cave gave off so many Big Sur vibes.
During the shoot the couple brought lanterns and candles. These babies came in handy and helped create the best wedding photos after dark. This is definitely something fun you could do on your big day too! I always love when couples want to add their own little flare to their special day! I am still so in love with everything from this oceanside wedding.

Hi, I'm Michelle, I photograph weddings with a calm and observant approach
That way you can focus on the people around you instead of feeling like you are performing for the camera. I help guide the timeline, pay attention to light, and create space in the day so nothing feels rushed or forced.
Most couples I work with want photographs that feel natural but still elevated, and an experience that feels easy instead of overwhelming. That balance is at the center of everything I do.
I take on a limited number of weddings each year so I can give every couple the time and attention their celebration deserves. If you’re planning a thoughtful, experience-focused wedding, I’d love to learn more about you and your day.
