Down-To-Earth Wedding In Palmer, Alaska

There could not have been a more perfect day for Andi and Justin’s wedding in Palmer Alaska. Andi and Justin along with their closest family and friends, traveled all the way from Pennsylvania to get married in Alaska.

Their day was a dream to be apart of and I am so excited to share some of my favorite moments with you from their day.

Their day kicked off at Knotty Pine B & B, a beautiful wedding venue located in Palmer, Alaska. Knotty Pine B & B is only about an hour drive north of Anchorage and is know for its panoramic vista. The cute yet cozy cabin provides the perfect place to get married no matter the time of year. I love that this venue also serves as a place to stay either before or after a wedding.

Andi and Justin’s Palmer, Alaska Wedding

When I first arrived Andi was tucked away in the bridal suite having hair and makeup done by lipstick and bobby pins a Alaska makeup artist. Music played and laughter filled the room as Andi sipped on champagne and friends came in to check on her. In the corner of the room her boho style wedding dress hung from a wooden hanger.

Just upstairs and inside the venue you could find Justin. At the time he was putting on the finishing touches of his wedding attire before his mother carefully placed his boutonniere on his jacket. Justin suit was a shade of brown that paired perfectly with his light blue dress shirt.

Their first look was one of my favorites to document as a photographer. Seeing and feeling all the emotion of this moment still gives me goosebumps. I could tell just how excited these two were to be getting married.

Following their first look and just before their ceremony the three of us set off for Hatcher’s Pass. From the beginning these two had their hearts set on having photos taken inside the state park. So we took our time, explored multiple locations and captured some beautiful moments together.

Once back at the venue, it was time for the ceremony. Andi and Justin were tucked away inside the cabin as their guest began to arrive and take their seats. Their ceremony was short and sweet but filled with many meaningful messages for them to take with them after this day.

At the end of the night they danced and celebrated under the midnight sun. Even playing a few games of flip cup before heading out on the honeymoon adventures in Valdez, Alaska.
