Theres something so special about fall weddings in Tennessee. Between cooler temperatures signifying the end of summer and the crunch of vibrant colored leaves beneath your feet. It’s always a treat to go back and visit this pretty state but its even better when you get to photograph two friends on their wedding day at Double Creek Farm.
I can still remember the first time I met Mariah and Sean. We hit it off instantly. I knew from the moment that we first met that we would become close friends. And boy was I right. Coming back to come back watch these two get married in Tennessee was a dream.
One evening last fall the three of us went out to Cornelia Fort Airpark in Tennessee to take their engagement photos. We spent that evening chatting and soaking up the sunlight. To this day their session is still one of my favorites.
And If I’m being completely honest I had been counting down the days till Mariah and Seans tied the knot at Double Creek Farm. I was beyond excited to not only photograph these two on their magical day but also to be there to celebrate with them.
I swear this year the fall colors in Tennessee were the best I have ever seen. And I say this after having lived in Tennessee for over 6 years. The vibrant pops of red and oranges on the trees was something else. You have to see it for yourself!
When I got to Double Creek Farm I was greeted with a hug and a basket of goodies from Mariah. Which I thought was so stinking thoughtful. I honestly couldn’t believe it had almost been a year since we saw last saw one another.
Shortly after arriving Mariah began having her hair and makeup done. She sported a soft glam look that paired seamlessly with her elegant and timeless updo. Mariah even had a beautiful hairpiece that accented her cathedral length veil.
As the girls finished getting ready I was getting down to business and putting together their details for photos. I took the details that Mariah had set aside for me out to the patio area of the venue and started assembling. I used some additional florals that the florist had left aside and looked for fall leaves around the property.
Before I knew it everyone was ready. We began heading down to big rock a cute little photo spot at Double Creek Farm for Mariah and Seans first look. We got Sean into position and Mariah’s maid of honor helped her down the hill. After some tears and few laughs these two enjoyed a few calm moments together before heading back up to the venue for their ceremony.
At the end of the night the two spent the night hanging out under the stars. Dancing and enjoy a few games of corn hole with their family, friends and of course their pups before heading out on their honeymoon to the Grand Canyon. Its was the perfect ending to their epic fall wedding in Tennessee.
