This snowboard engagement session in Girdwood, Alaska gave all the adventure vibes that any couple could ever ask for. Maggie and Skylar are such a vibe and I had an absolute blast getting to hang out with them.

I know that winter isn’t normally the most popular time for engagement photos but, if you love winter hobbies like Maggie and Skylar then its the perfect time for you. There are tons of winter activities that you can incorporate into your session especially here in Alaska. Even if you aren’t the outdoorsy type!

This day was a little bit chilly but thankfully these two dressed warm. When planning a winter couples session it is super important to dress for the weather. I always recommend wearing some form of base layer to help keep you warm. Hand warmers are also a secret weapon that I would die without.

I photographed Maggie and Skylar’s engagement session at Moose Meadow one of my favorite locations in Girdwood, Alaska. Its located just outside of Alyeska Resort which allowed them to get back to the slopes as soon as possible. Which I know they were super excited for!

There were so many unforgettable moments during their snowboard themed engagement session. Between calm moments spent snuggling together with the mountains behind them to moments spent piggy backing with one another through the woods. We even got some pretty epic photos of them trying to do a handstand together.

Maggie and Skylar’s session was definitely one that I will never forget and I’m so excited to be sharing all the photos from it with you!
