Playful engagement session at Marcella smith Park

Kelly and I go way back. We did the math during their session and realized that we have been friends for almost 7 years. Kinda crazy isn’t it? So when she reached out and asked if I’d photograph her engagement session at Marcella Smith Park in Brentwood, Tennessee I was so freaking down.

In my opinion, fall is one of the prettiest times to visit Tennessee. The hillsides are covered in a blanket of vibrant colored trees that slowly begin dropping their leaves. Its the perfect time of year to visit and explore the beauty of the state.

Kelly and Josephs engagement session in Brentwood, Tennessee

The three of us met up about an hour before sunset. Kelly brought two different outfits for their session that we packed into my backpack as we walked up the hillside. In no time we found the perfect spot about halfway down the trail at Marcella Smith Park with lots of fall color.

We chatted amongst one another throughout their session. I asked them how they had been what they had been up to since we last saw each other. They both said that they had been busy planning their wedding day in Gatlinburg. I was beyond excited for the two of them and told them I couldn’t wait to see photos from their big day!

Kelly and Joseph spent the evening dancing and laughing together until the sun went down and we made our way back to our cars. It was a pleasure getting to catch up with old friends and photograph their engagement session while visiting Tennessee.
