There’s beauty in saying this day is just for the two of us. And that’s exactly what Caleb and Jennifer had in mind for their elopement at Eklutna Lake.
The two started their day off at their cozy B+B nestled away in the woods of Palmer. In the early morning rain and clouds moved in as they began getting ready in separate spaces.
As I met with each of them they told me stories about their travel to Alaska. And one story remained pretty constant in the conversation. This story being the one about their new friend that they had made on their flight up.
Apparently a woman named Gail, gave them the inside scoop on all things Alaska. As I walked between their two rooms they filled me in on this new friend. Each basically picking up where the other left off.
Following a first look outside the two exchanged meaningful gifts with one another before jumping in the car and heading out. Following a short walk from the parking lot we were able to find the perfect location for their elopement ceremony at Eklutna Lake.
The two were in awe with the views. I remember the two saying over and over that; “They could not believe that this is real. I mean you see photos online but to really be here and see all of this its unbelievable.”
Then with just the mountains, the officiant and myself present the two took in these picturesque views during their ceremony. Caleb and Jennifer took turns reading aloud their vows and exchanging rings with one another before finally ending their ceremony with an epic mountainside kiss.
After their ceremony the three of us walked around the lake before ending the night off at a nearby waterfall. Ending their beautiful day with one final adventure!!
