Is there really anything more magical than a field of lupines?! What about playing in a field of lupines during your engagement photo shoot in Alaska.

This engagement session with Kaitlyn and Cody was pure magic. A few days before their shoot I had found a large field of lupines on the side of the Seward Highway. It felt like hitting the jackpot. I knew that these flowers wouldn’t be around for too much longer, so I sent them a pic. And they fell in love!

Lupines are one of the many magical wonders that come with summer in Alaska. They are vibrant purple wildflowers that usually pop up during the first few months of summer. So if your planning a visit and want to see these babies first hand think about visiting during late June and mid to end of July. I know that you won’t regret it!

During their photoshoot we took in the views from the ocean, mountains and of course the lupines surrounding us. Kaitlyn and Cody even brought along their sweet pup to be apart of all their photos. Which I couldn’t have loved more! Pups are always welcome to partake in photos with me!

Spending time with these two felt like hanging around a couple of friends. We spent many moments just laughing and talking together. Kaitlyn and Cody have been together for 5 years and have built a beautiful life together, so it was easy to capture their love.
