Like most of us. I knew from the moment I watched the first episode from the Netflix series Bridgerton I wouldn’t be able to put it down. I can vividly remember not leaving my house or getting off the sofa. As a matter of fact I’m pretty sure there is still an imprint from my body on the couch. Okay maybe thats tmi, but, I was addicted to the show. In other words I knew the moment I saw the set up for this seaside elopement shoot I had to be there. If you are a hard core Bridgerton lover like me. Check out this styled wedding for some inspo for your wedding day.
A Friday afternoon that all started with a boat ride. Mako’s water taxi took us from the bay of Homer and dropped us off at our home for the weekend, Between Beaches. The ocean was a bit choppy for our ride but, once we hit land we were greeted by our ocean villa.
My jaw hit the floor. I remember thinking to myself that this would be the perfect place for an Alaska seaside elopement. Nestled in the woods surrounded by ocean on both sides. Secluded from the rest of the world. Above all else it gave off a very intimate and almost honeymoon vibe. Perfect for couples wanting a more private place to celebrate their big day.
When I think Bridgerton I think pops of color with almost a vintage feel. However this styled seaside elopement was a little more unique the just that. It included one of the coolest trends I’ve seen in the industry this year.
The fun trend is having two wedding dresses to wear on your big day. Often times I’ve seen brides have the additional gown to change into for the reception. However for this instance this bride wore a green gown at first and transitioned to a white one later on in the day. So stinking fun!
The table setting, composed with vibrant florals and candlesticks truly made a statement. Small details like danishes, vases and teacups lined the table creating a royal scene almost straight out of the tv show. Brilliant purple earrings dangled from the brides ears accompanied with a floral crown on her head. It was absolutely a photographers dream. In conclusion, I couldn’t wait to get home and edit this styled Alaska seaside elopement.
