On a chilly December evening I met up with Sean and Mariah at the Cornelia Fort Airport in east Nashville. I was so excited to finally meet these two in person. We had spent the last few months chatting over the phone getting to know one another and planning out their engagement session. Both Mariah and Sean have been away at college over this last year. They decided to make a trip back home to spend the holidays with their family back in Alabama and made a special stop her in Tennessee for the engagement session.
This was my first time at the Cornelia Fort Airport. I had seen photos online of this beautiful location and had always dreamed of getting to shoot here. When Mariah suggested that she had seen the location online and had fallen in love. I just knew that this was going to be the perfect place for their engagement session.
I walked with Mariah and Sean toward the far side of the airport. The skies were clear and the sunlight created a haze like effect on the runway. As we started taking photos we noticed that we had some extra guests! A small family of deer just next to the tree line of Cornelia Fort Airport had been watching from afar. Being absolutely obsessed with wildlife and thinking what a once in a lifetime experience I continued to snap photos. Like how cool is it to have a family of deer be apart of your engagement session?
Mariah and Sean were so much fun together and made my job so easy. I constantly remember showing Mariah and Sean the back of the camera and telling them that I was obsessed. They both were up for all the crazy poses and prompts that I threw their way. Their love for one another truly shines through each every single photo from their fall engagement session at Cornelia Fort Airport.
We began heading to our cars as the bright orange sun began fading in the distance. I couldn’t believe that our time together was almost over. Hanging out with these two was a blast and we created so much magic during their engagement session. I can’t wait to get these married next October at Double Creek Farms.
