This backyard wedding in Wasilla, Alaska was a dream! Made complete with mountain views, stunning florals and great vibes. Greta and Trey’s Alaska wedding is surely one that I will never forget.
Their day kicked off at a family owned residence in Palmer. When I arrived, Greta and her girls were finishing hair and makeup. Trey and the boys hadn’t made an appearance quite yet but, had told me about their ideas for a grand entrance.
As I looked out the window of this double storied home, keeping an eye out for the groom and crew, I witnessed Greta’s mother setting up for their ceremony. Setting out chairs and benches for guests before finally placing flowers on the arch at the ceremony location.
Shortly after photographing a few getting ready moments with the ladies, the boys had finally arrived. And it was now their time to shine! Trey had a vision for an NFL game day style entrance which I think we delivered on.
Following the arrival of both parties, each continued to get ready on separate levels of the home up until the time of their ceremony.
Once their ceremony concluded the couple and I escaped for a bit. Taking some time to frolic and be care free for a few moments before heading back to their guests for the reception. The photos that we captured in that field will forever be some of my favorites as a photographer.
I already knew that their wedding reception would be an absolute blast. After celebrating with them at their pre wedding beer olympics. And let me just tell you it was! Greta, Trey and all of their guests sure know how to tear up a dance floor!
