It feels like this could really be the last week of fall here in Alaska. With a pretty heavy chance of snow in the forecast I’m so happy I could squeeze Laney and Owen in for their engagement session at Eklutna Lake in Chugiak, Alaska before the snowflakes started falling.
It’s always a joy getting to be apart of special moments like this one. Celebrating a momentous moment in someone else’s life and turning it into memories is one my favorite things about being a photographer. I get to capture and preserve your best memories for you to look back on for years to come. And I freaking thankful that you trust in me to tell your story one photo at a time.
Laney had reached out to me through instagram and told me of their exciting news. Just a few weeks prior Laney and Owen had gotten engaged. I was so stinking excited for them and help them plan an epic adventure for the two of them.
We all met up at Eklutna Lake in Chugiak, Alaska about an hour before the sunset for their engagement session. We spent the evening taking in mountain views while feeling the cool breeze on our skin.
I got to witness these two fall in love over again and over again. Between calm moments spent snuggling together on a log next to the water to moments spent running hand and hand through the woods. We even got some super cute photos of them two of them under a clear umbrella!
If you are looking for a location for your couples photoshoot near Chugiak, Alaska check out Eklutna Lake. There are tons of great spots around the lake that will provide lots of opportunities for variety in your final gallery. If your not completely sold on having a session here I’d love to help you find the perfect location. Heres just a few of my favorites; Beluga Point, Portage Lake and Thunderbird Falls.
